The Trail Went Cold – Episode 54 – Kelly Dae Wilson

January 5, 1992. Gilmer, Texas. After finishing the night shift at a local video store, 17-year old Kelly Dae Wilson vanishes without explanation and her car is found in the parking lot with one of its tires slashed. Two years later, eight suspects, one of them a police officer investigating the case, are indicted for Kelly’s abduction and murder and accused of being members of a Satanic cult. However, after the Satanic cult story is completely debunked, the charges against the suspects are dropped, but the exact circumstances of Kelly Dae Wilson’s disappearance remain unknown. On this week’s episode of “The Trail Went Cold”, we chronicle an unsolved missing persons case whose investigation was derailed by a truly outrageous epidemic of “Satanic Panic”.

  • I remember when this happened. I was 15 and members of my family knew her. We also knew Michael Bibby, and he was at my house often. He was just a rebellious teenager who did petty stuff, like slash tires.
The consensus is Chris and Brent know exactly what happened to Kelly. Chris had a temper and it was knows he had hit her in the past. Both did fail the polygraph.
3 people know what happened to Kelly, and 2 are still alive……..Chris is dead, but Brent and Chris’ dad are still alive. Something to think about.
